PILATES WITH PAULA: Personal Training with Reformer, Chair & Cadillac

PILATES is a safe and effective workout for everyone. It’s a challenging exercise program that will enhance your body’s fitness, increase core strength and stability, and balance power and flexibility. Pilates will allow for longer, leaner muscles while providing heightened body awareness and improved posture.

Pilates can be customized to suit everyone from rehab patients to elite athletes. It is easy on the joints and complements other methods of exercise, improving balance, coordination, and circulation and helping to prevent injury. To learn more about Pilates, please see our Pilates Primer.

Pilates Private Sessions

One-on-one personal training by appointment.
Sessions are approximately 1 hour in length unless otherwise requested.

In addition to providing a dynamic, full-body workout, private sessions offer the opportunity to address special fitness goals and needs, such as sport-specific training, regaining strength after an injury or keeping fit during pregnancy.

Introductory Pilates & Pilates Foundation

Introductory Pilates (1 hour) $55
Pilates Foundation (5 - 1 hour sessions) $200

Required for Pilates beginners interested in joining a group Pilates mat class. Start with a one-on-one personal introduction to the fundamentals of Pilates followed by a series of 5 foundation sessions. Each session is approximately 1 hour in length.

Before joining a group mat class, it is essential to establish a solid foundation in Pilates. The five private foundation sessions: 1) Provide a posture analysis 2) Assess fitness goals and needs 3) Introduce basic Pilates postures, movements, and equipment 4) Teach fundamentals of core stabilization.

Pilates Semi-Private Sessions

Personal training for you and a friend by appointment. Semi-Private Training Sessions are approximately 1 hour in length unless otherwise requested.

We’ll work one-on-one with clients to provide a dynamic, full-body workout. Sessions are personalized based on the individual’s fitness goals and strengths. Training will focus on strengthening the core, stabilizing the shoulders and pelvis, increasing spine flexibility, and stretching and toning all muscle groups. Equipment will be incorporated for a varied and challenging workout, including the Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Arc Barrel as well as stability balls, foam rollers, flex-bands, toning balls, and resistance rings.

YOGA WITH CAROL

Carol Hince MSPT, RYT
Certified Integrative Yoga Therapy Teacher

Carol has been a physical therapist for more than 30 years and a registered yoga teacher for 12 years. Her classes are filled with compassion and individualized for each student. She also teaches classes combining Physical Therapy and Yoga for subjects like “Care of the Low Back”, “Restoring the Shoulder”, and “Respiratory Health”.

Carol also teaches Restorative yoga and recently has begun teaching Yoga Nidra, the meditative form of yoga. See Classes for more information.
