Pilates Mat
Group Mat classes are an engaging and challenging workout. Our mat classes are designed to help clients develop leaner, longer-looking muscles, establish core strength and stability, and heighten mind-body awareness. Rhythmic exercises develop breathing techniques, endurance, coordination, and balance. Props may be incorporated to add variety and more resistance for muscle definition.
Group mat classes may be joined once Introductory and Pilates Foundation sessions have been completed.
Classes are 1 hour. Drop in welcome.

Core Stretch n Strengthen
A 75 minute class focused on movement from the core using weights and other small equipment for balance and stability.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga as a synthesis of Iyengar and Integrative Yoga Therapy. Classes include body awareness, breathing practices and integration, warm -ups and poses that soothe and challenge, and teachings, relaxation, and guided visualizations leading to meditation.Compassion and guidance is given to each individual in the class. Beginning and continuing students welcome.

Restorative Yoga
In Restorative yoga, props such as blankets and bolsters are used to support you in variations on the floor. The gentle poses of Restorative yoga, while passive, bring about a very deep state of relaxation and can boost the immune system as well as deeply affect the organs and other systems of the body. It is deeply relaxing and rejuvenating, known to decrease stress levels. Some people have reported being energized for two or three days afterwards, while others may find deep sleep for several days; it can also be done and is of great value when you are sick or weak.

Yoga Nidra
This class focuses on transformative meditation practice derived from ancient yoga teachings that lead to psychological, physical, and spiritual healing. Its healing ability lies in the paradox that by learning to simply observe, welcome, and accept "what is" in a deeply relaxed state, you free up tremendous energy for joy, abundance, and well-being.
Yoga Nidra meditation is a non-dogmatic, non-religious secular practice. It consists of a series of 30-40 minute sessions. Participants learn to guide themselves through sequences designed to help them live contented lives, free of conflict, anxiety, fear, trauma, and suffering.
Walter Reed is using Yoga Nidra with recent veterans who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Qigong
Qigong, an ancient Chinese therapy technique, promotes health maintenance, healing and increased vitality through slow motion exercises, breathing techniques, and meditation. The exercises serve to slowly strengthen and stretch muscles. The breathing and meditation techniques force students to focus on their bodies and to positively channel their energy in order to reduce stress.
